I got a new microphone, a Blue Yeti no less, haha and I'm very eager to use it so tonight I taught a ChucK class to sonic (richard) of our electro-music.com family. We went over two examples and had a good time. The closing song was "Hack ChucK", a classic ChucKist's celebration song. It starts out slow for the first 20 minutes then we get into the actual lesson which lasts for another hour and 20 minutes or so. If you always wanted to learn ChucK and wanted an easy way to get started, this is it! Lessons 1 and 2 programs attached as well. Enjoy!

Hope you like it, Kijjaz!

My apologies for the slow, meandering nature of this first recording. It turned out that way because we weren't even sure if we would do a radio lecture. But now that it's official I'll be doing it more proactively.

The next lecture will be tonight sometime around 24:00 GMT (7pm central time) or thereabouts, please visit the chatroom to participate. The topic of the second lecture/show will be "Examples", and will demonstrate the best way to get up to speed on ChucK: by studying and modifying the example programs. Be sure to tune in for the fun or just wait for the recording, either is fine.

Les

Had a good show this second lecture. This time it was the talented Dr. Steve who was my example student. He stayed with me through the whole show, which I am thankful for because it would have been boring without a student. This time we went over an example called saxophony.ck, attached, and modified it into a voice morphing weirdness example that actually sounded pretty wild, sacophony 2.ck, also attached.

There was a network glitch in the middle of the show, so the show is recorded in two pieces labled 2.1 and 2.2, listen to 2.1 first obviously. Total duration of lecture is about an hour. Enjoy!
