new old stock ua726 ??? |
|
|
i found this ebay auction and thought i should share it here:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/320882811934?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649#ht_500wt_1180
This early (1973) Fairchild 10-Pin Temp-controlled Differential Pair Transistors might be an early 70's version of the rare ua726 ,
i bought one batch (20$ for 12) and i'll be the first to take the chance with it..
i have one original ua726 here so maybe i can make some measurements
when i'll get the package.. (any suggestion on a good way comparing them without opening an old synth guts would be much appreciated)
please note the the order part no's in the ua726 schematics is almost identical to what is written on the package in the auction pics.
the ua726 order # is: U5U7726312
the auction one is: F U5J772631 (the f is for fairchild),
i also couldn't find another 10-Pin Temp-controlled Differential Pair Transistors from fairchild back catalog so it is maybe the 726 with an early
part number...
i also can tell by the pictures that this one can-area is a bit higher then my ua726 which is dated from 81'.
anyway if we have the same part here so it was worth the 20$ risk, and also to post it here for all the desperate seekers

So I can see the entire batch is gone..
Hey , you are wellcome.
Any suggestions how to compare it to the
"classic" ua726 , or to check for a similarity? |

Oh, no! I missed this great deal!
I'm currently investigating the different Hongkong sellers and so far have gotten one working and two fake ones.
I still need to measure the working one and compare it to a VCO with a genuine UA726 but at least it oscillates with it! |
