I figured since a lot of you guys are DIY hardware freekz, you might have some ideas.

I just got new glasses frames. As some of you know, I wear hearing aids. Getting new frames is a challenge because most modern frames in conjunction with hearing aids are uncomfortable to some degree.

I want to replace the temple tips with cables. A local frame mender said he wouldn't do it for these frames (although I left him another frame to convert to cables - those will be my sunglasses/outdoor glasses with polarized lenses).

What would it take to snip off the temple tips from sturdy metal frame temples and weld cables on?

Metal frames I assume? ( there is a product called plastic weld for, you guessed it, plastic).

You could try silver solder. Most jewlers that do repairs will have it and might actually do it for you. Needs a higher temp then regular solder.

Hm, I never thought to ask jewelers. Maybe I'll ask a few in my area.
