Subject description: come on! you only need to do 18 seconds worth of material!

just like the RRR comps of locked grooves, only digital.

- each artist can do up to 10 tracks, each 1.8 seconds long.
- aliases count for the 10 total but other groups/collabs are considered separately.
- any style/technique/genre
- any bitrate; wav/aiff/flac/mp3/ogg/aac/wma
- release to be on genetic trance netlabel

send them to skxrapomedyk AT gmail.com (not me)

it's done when we hit 150 tracks. we're a little over 100 now, including submissions from the great thirdorgan.

The deadline is too soon for me to do anything, but my curiosity is piqued. What exactly is this about?

1,8 second loops. if you have ever listened to vinyl records you perhaps know that sometimes the record locks itself and you listen over and over to the same phrase. there are also locked groove records like RRR500.

also, sorry bout the deadline, but we hit from 80 to over 200 tracks in the few days of promotion, and the original deadline was 1st may.

At least there is a listing of the contents: http://www.discogs.com/Various-Digital-Locked-Grooves-Compilation/release/3595563 . (Is there a download link on that page? If there is, I didn't find it.)
edit: Oh. I see. There's some software called InstallQ to be downloaded. No thanks. (Maybe that's why it was taken down from Internet Archives.)

Hmm, when I downloaded it from the internet archives (glad I did) I didn't need any software.
So I doubt that's it. maybe something to do with copyright, dunno. I just noticed it yesterday
while updating my website and checking some of the links.

looks like you can get it here: http://myzuka.ru/Album/304469/Digital-Locked-Grooves-Compilation-2012

but it needs 2 clicks for every track to download so that's a PITA if you want the whole album. (don't see a link for that)
