Subject description: logical gate & trigger unit !!

Hi all !

i'm working to finish my first lunetta unit ( not standalone noise box).
For the moment, i've prepared :

1*CD40106 :
3 audio range osc
3 lfo osc

1*CD4040
1*CD4094
2*CD4030
2*CGS Pulse divider ( only the cd4017 part)
1*CD4017 bab 8 ( it'll give me cvs and 8 separated gate output + 1 main gate output)

I'll have a break out box where i'll put 4 4input/R2R ladder and some stuff for managing cvs made with them, but also some switches in order to manage patterns.

BUT !! I can put one or two another cmos unit on my main unit, i was thinking about a melody generator, but i'd like to know what kind of cmos you'd like to use for creating complex patterns... Maybe another CD4030 or a shift register ?

I really want to manage logical informations flows to create gates or strange cvs...
thanks for your support.

I'll use this thread to show you how it goes !!
Smile

... sounds like you don't need any ideas, you have plenty of stuff there to make alot of noise!

How about a pseudo-random generator? I found 2 different 2-chip circuits that produce 4 bits. I really like using them.

Which reminds me, I keep meaning to draw those up in a more usable form and post them.

I already posted about one here, since it's a little problematic: http://www.electro-music.com/forum/post-323156.html .

yeah, thanks folks !!

->JingleJoe : yep, i've got alreaydy some good ics, i think, but... even if i've thought about this unit for a while, many people there work on lunettas, and having advices from other people than myself seems to me also a good idea !! haha

->ringmad : which are these 2 2-chips ?? Would be interested !! I just don't want to use pic or arduino -yet !! Thanks for the link, i'll go check that !!

Yap !! i've just read your thread about cd4006 !! I was looking for a while for trying to build something with shift registers. Well, looking a bit farther in white noise design to build weird pattern generator seems to be a good idea !!

Héhé, it's also weird that this thread begins with a french electronic book schematic as i'm... french !

Very Happy Very Happy

For future readers of this thread... I've posted the 2 pseudorandom generator circuits I mentioned above here: http://www.electro-music.com/forum/topic-52066.html .

Hi !!
thanks for the interest. It's kind of plexiglas. It has been found in a library, this is used to support books...
Easy to drill & cut...
