I'm going to buy a used or refurb iPad 2, only for music. Should I just get a 64GB and be done with it or can I save a bit of money and get a 32GB?

Thanks

Randy

Apps on mine :

TumbJam, Touch DJ, iBooks, RjDj, Chronometer, Melodica, Reactable, Jasuto Pro, Manetron, Noise.io Pro, Jasuto, Animoog, Voiceband, RadioBOX, TC-11, Drum Kit, TongueDrum, MorphWiz, SunVox, Bloom, ChurchOrgan, Slice, Curtis, Code Reader, FingerLite, GravianoLite, MultiTrack, Euphonics, Grain Science, gliss, Planets, AutoStitch, Loopy, Sax Dots, iExterminate, iTalk, AudioCheck, FStream, Shaker, Bebot, MiniPiano, Colloquy, NOS Teletekst, KalimbaFree, bs-spectrum, Curtis (another one), pTerm, SoundScopeAir, VocaForm, Gramin, Android FX, Kyma Control, Resonizer, SfSynth, Synthesizer, iGendyn, TOPLAPapp, RISCy, AnoGakki, Space.

No songs on it tho, and no videos, but do have about 600 photos on it.

All that uses 3.0GB and leaves 10.8 GB free.

Wow, thanks for the detailed reply! Sounds like you're doing fine with 16GB.

No problem, was syncing and updating the thing anyway ... turns out that 1.4 GB of the 3.0 used is books (for just in case I ever get bored Wink ).

So yeah, even 16 GB will do a lot as long as you don't store videos.

Do you mind if I ask which MIDI interface you're using? I'm considering getting the Alesis IO Dock.

I have an iODOCK.I like it pretty well.If you really only need midi you could get something else cheaper,I suppose, but the other connections are quite helpful. There's a lot to be said for the solid 1/4" outs with a volume knob, headphone out with independent volume knob,USB,video and 1/4"/XLR combo ins with phantom power.Plus it charges while it's connected.
As far as memory goes:I have a 32GB iPad 2,but you could get away with a 16 if you don't put any video or songs on it.Just think ahead a bit about what you think you want to do with it.
