Do you consider yourself a hacker?

After reading this, I decided I would think of myself as a hacker, and most of that basis isn't even based on my computer skills.

Do you think of yourself as a hacker? If you didn't, did reading this change your mind?

Well, before the media distorted the meaning of the term "hacker" by applying it to all kinds of computer criminals, dropping the term "cracker" in the process, I'd proudly declare myself a hacker. Now that it has become a derogatory term among the general population, I'm not so sure I'd do that anymore.

I'd like more options on the poll, I consider myself an oldschool hacker, like the hackers of pre-home computer era, those who try to make devices out of whatever junk they can get their hands on.

Yes, I think I must be.
I often find myself quite obsessed with doing things simply to see if they can be done. Or to see if something else will happen.
I can't imagine a life without interest in what others would deem useless.
