OP deleted.

For reasons I am not ready to share, this was a post I felt I should retract. I will not make a habit of this - I just had to for this particular post. Please accept my apologies. Crying or Very sad

That sucks. What was the rule change? (I'm in Canada so I haven't heard about it).

Also, I am sure I am not the first to ask, but how do you compose music if you can't hear it?

It's an FCC rule that I have come to understand a lot better since my OP, and I don't quite have such a problem with it. Let's just say I put my foot in my mouth. Embarassed

But I will answer your other question. I have quite a bit of "residual" hearing, although it is hardly "residual" for me. I make use of two hearing aids.

For the last couple of months, I had an infection that, while cleared from my body as far as the ENT I saw could see, has left my ears operating at a level far below normal for me. It's been frustrating, to say the least. Evil or Very Mad

My wife was an ASL interpreter for many years (pre-children, at this point she is quite rusty and has mostly decided to take another career tack), so i was fairly concerned by your OP.

I'm glad to find out that it's not quite as bad as all that, and kudos to you for editing things when you realized.

How do you interpret in ASL for pre-children? Razz

Yeah, kind of embarrassed myself, but in my defense, I was extremely frustrated at the time I made my OP.
