Only difference is the DS8 adds a noise source I think.

You don't need to use them here, 4 of them are for built-in buffers, the remaining 2 for so-called linearizing diodes inputs (see datasheet).

I got coron ds7 clone soldered, cased and working! But...
I have 1M pot on LFO speed, and my LFO is runing too fast, i can`t regulate it from slow freq (5-10Hz).
Now it`s sounding like this http://m.bareille.free.fr/ds7clone/ds7strange.mp3 in minimum.
How can I get slower LFO ? like this one http://m.bareille.free.fr/ds7clone/MartiansChronicle.mp3 ???

maybe that will help.

I did this with dnnys dual board. i simply hacked of half of it.

Should i ground the "orphaned" pins?

ds7 'fixed' scratch it wasn't broke! i etched/built one of dnny's dual boards it worked great.
i guess it is a good idea to do a single one, although seems a shame to waste half a lm13700.
p.s. I built the ak47 ds8 that works great too.

edit: pin 6 of lm13700 is v-

Iam making this on the request of a friend who runs All Out Dub/step Soundsystem and he wants a single to start with.

Iam thinking about making a DIL-6 (or is it 8 pins on the CA3080) for the surfacemount version of the 13700 so you can just plop it on the original board layout.

Oh and remember the image i posted is copperside up so topright pin on the 13700 is number one and as far as i can see i need to run a path or a jumper from pin 11 to V+. but that should be it.

But if you have a dual and want a single, you just use one, right? Smile

yeah but i dont want to make a dual board since for it to work you need to populate both boards.

and by fixed the meaning is that i enlarged all pads

Pin 11 had to be routed aswell on the single board. so iam finishing it tomorrow hoping to have it usable on saturday since my friends are performing then.

I routed pin 11 to what i think is V- minus on the board. so this should work have a look. next step is building the dual board for myself.
