So I now know why Clavia were looking for an OSX Programmer. Unfortunately no new editor for their G2 or Nord Modular.

Looks interesting, and kinda makes sense I suppose? Looking forward to that G3 on iOS though chaps! Wink

It's ok. Doesn't run in background though (or I haven't found the button to turn that on yet...). But it's still young. Smile

It's all a bit bollocks if you ask me. There are already plenty of apps out there which will cater for MIDI in far better ways than this lump of shite.

Clavia you need to think like Wolfgang "PPG" Palm, Korg, Yamaha and Moog et al. Give us something really worthwhile, like a G3 running on iOS etc. Wink

I haven't looked closely, but my first reaction is one of sadness. Sad

Just now noticed its velocity-sensitive. The website does not mention Virtual MIDI, only Core MIDI. Time to check this out and look at some Core MIDI compatible drum apps to control with Nord Beat... MoDrum looks like a suitable candidate.

The "velocity sensitivity" is based on position rather than how fast you tap on the screen, btw.

Anyway, Nord Beat has been updated to 2.0:

What's New in Version 2.0

Nord Beat version 2 includes the following features:
- Step sequencer expanded to support 6 tracks
- Added Flam, 32th and 32 triplet modifiers for individual steps
- New MIDI settings menu with flexible MIDI output routings
- Send and receive MIDI Clock Sync
- Added the option to save a Program Change together with a program

Not bad for a free app, eh? Cool
