Steiner VCF inputs |
|
|
Hi there
i have a noob question..
as i understand the Steiner-Parker Synthacon have 3 vco's.
lets say i have 3 X VCO, how can i connect all 3 VCO's to the LP or BP or HP?
did the synth have more then 1 input for each mode?
maybe the VCO's went to the VCA that have 3 inputs and then to the VCF?
i hope my question make sense.
cheers,

In general one uses a signal mixer to combine the inputs of different signals. _________________ Yves |

Hi yves and thank you for replying.
Yes, I figure it out.
Took me few days but I got it
Thank you for sharing your cool designs!
btw have another question.
I remember reading that some one had or has a problem with noisy pot, reso pot if I'm not mistaking.
You said that the problem is something with the Steiner design.
he use the CA3096 design.
Does the problem of the reso pot noise is with the 1583 design as well?
Cheers,

It is less sensitive there but is present too. A way to avoid that is to use a high quality cermet potentiometer or a plastic track potentiometer.
I eventually came up with a completely different design of the resonance circuit for this filter that I introduced for the MiniBrute and I will publish it sometimes soon on my site. _________________ Yves Last edited by yusynth on Wed Sep 12, 2012 1:38 pm; edited 1 time in total |

I had noticed that when i first tried the minibrute some months ago, the resonance was more stable than my steiner, maybe less wild. |
