Making a Keytar out of an old Korg microKontrol I got off ebay for $50 because it was missing a fader knob.

Made it wireless out of a transciever I breadboarded and I'm going to hack the Pitchbend/Mod wheels, bypassing the joystick in place of a Digital Potentiometer that's controlled by the Ribbon Controllers, aka Soft Pots.

Hi,
Did you get the softpots working?
Where there any modifications needed, or did you just connect them?

Haven't got them working yet, I've got a few other projects to get to before this.

You do not just hook them up.

You'd have to bypass the joystick potentiometer and replace those two axis with a Dual Digital Potentiometer that is controlled by a microcontroller that is reading the soft pots on it's Analog to Digital inputs.

There would be a couple tricks to this, most of which, the MOD effect you would want to stick in the last touched position instead of returning to a zero.
