Neil Alexander/NAIL/Logical Oscillator Subject description: By way of introduction |
|
|
Greetings all -
It's quite late here, and I need to be behind a piano in a ballet studio in a few hours (my "day" gig) BUT - I had such a great time at the Electro Music Fest 2012 9even tho I was only there for one day). Truly inspiring and just plain FUN. So, I'm taking a second to introduce myself. My friends call me the Nail. I'm a full time working muso, I have this habit of throwing myself into literally dozens of musical genres. I'm currently doing classical, Jazz, Fusion, funk, you name it... but I'm going to share with you a soundcoud set of electro-music I've been working on slowly over a few years. You all have inspired me to finish it up and get it out! My performance handle in the solo electronic format is "Logical Oscillator". I'm very much looking forward to hanging with you all again next year. Here's the set. Enjoy, and goodnight.

Hi all!
Not a "user of forums" regularly, I have to remind myself to check in here like once a week or so.
Everyone here is doing remarkable interesting music. I hope I can keep up!
(I was particularly surprised by the Chess to MIDI system! Freeeeyow!!)
Thanks for the kind words & for making me feel welcome. _________________ Life = Music

Hi HM! Yeah, trying to actually, um, stay in touch. I tend to use twitter - a lot - which is how I even found out about E-M, thanks to Mark Mosher.
And damn glad I did. _________________ Life = Music

Glad you liked it. There is a follow-up system that uses Scrabble, including a recording here (Scrabble + banjo), and a more recent game to be played on a planetarium dome using live coding. I love sonifying game rules and state. _________________ When the stream is deep
