Hi, just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm based in London UK, I play electronic free-improvisation. I've completed seven CD's, and occasionally play/record in our band "Wildlife Cathedral"
It's difficult to list influences, as they change all the time, and we as human beings change all the time ! I can best describe my background as being classically orientated, I then moved on to electronic music, jazz and 70's pop. Key people include Bach, Satie, Cage, Brian Eno, Wendy Carlos, Robert Fripp. These people have been of major interest over the years, and are constant reference points for me personally. My solo music is a mixture of soundscapes and beats, of a very varied nature. As a band we play no-holds-barred free-improv, very noisy, a mixture of electronic and acoustic sound sources.
I'm always looking for new people to collaborate with, new people to listen to, music is a constant source of discovery, my motto is look forward, not back, and don't get discouraged by those that have become cynical, music is far from dead, its one of the most interesting times to be alive as far as I'm concerned.

Take care,

Tony.

Hi, thanks, but at the moment I'm crippled by lack of a broadband connection, I'm going to get it in January, it will really change my life, regards websites, my music etc.
At the moment my music only exists on CD, not on the web.
On the whole, I'm very new to the world of computers, only starting to use them for music about six months ago, with a Samplitude package, which I love.
When I get broadband I feel it will really help me a lot, so thats my top priority. As well as building my modular !

Take care,

Tony.

My God ! did I really post that ! Smile How things change, I now have broadband ! not surprisingly, and I now have 32 Cd's completed in the last five years, I am still an internet virgin when it comes to posting music, but must get around to doing something about it. I'm still kind of nervous about putting stuff up there, maybe someone can recommend a good posting site ? In the meantime I still like posting here occasionally, and find this site really laid back. It's interesting looking at my influences back then, I have changed a lot in that respect as well, it would be difficult for me to name anyone right now, music, not only my own, seems to be in a constant state of flux.
