Looking forward to people's thoughts on this. Ray is good enough to make public the guts of his creations but this just stinks IMHO.

See link below.

What in particular stinks about it?

He's charging a reasonable amount of money for his work and the materials (the lowest I've seen the Mini Synth going for on EBay, for example is $345).

He credits Ray quite clearly in the description. I suppose it's pretty cheeky to put his logo on the front panel and not mention Ray THERE, but as sins go, it seems a long way from the worst I've seen.

I understand your points. The seller also tells me that MFOS is getting a sliver of the sales funds.

I didn't even look at the description where Ray is given his props, I probably wouldn't have bothered to say anything then.

The idea of someone profiteering off of someone else's talent and work really pushes my buttons but I suppose I should read the fine print before jumping on my high horse.

I do get that Smile

I'm not a big fan of Blue Lantern, for example.

Designers deserve credit and an income stream for their work, whether they're kind enough to share it publicly or not. We wouldn't have this community without them.

At least he should have built it using Ray's PCB not VeroBoard.
