I'm curious what anyone else thinks about the Arduino Due.

It's a faster proc, it has two real DACs, and it has more memory.

But it's limited to 3.3V operation.

I think it wouldn't be too hard to generate 0-10V from two 3.3V DACs simply using an op amp with gain of 3, but inputs might be trickier.

Anyone have any plans for it already?

I'm glad to see an Arm-based core, but that doesn't mean I've learned the
328 from top to bottom Wink

The faster speed will be nice. It seems like the code being generated for the 328's is a bit sloppy & slow. The user has no option for changing optimization settings with that IDE.

Everything is going to 3.3V these days. (The GIO lines on the Raspberry Pi are also 3.3v) It makes it more difficult to interfaces with older 5V logic, but low power makes good sense.

I'm really glad to see this puppy finally show its head.
I can't imagine how much work it was to get to this point.

I wonder how much they will be selling for.
If the 2560s are $65, the Due will probably sell for close to $100

Hard to believe, but would make sense to appeal to students.
