hello

recently, i bought a second hand nord micro modular, via midi it's working properly.
i also bought an edirol UM1 midi to usb device, since i don't have a midi port on my pc soundcard.
however, it seems that the UM1 doesn't recognize my micro modular Mad
i just can't assign it in nord modular editor. and the leds on the midi half of the um1 don't light (i guess they should)..
does somebody have experience with that device?

Hi bujanje and welcome

I've used th UM-3ex, that one works good with my Nord Modular under Windows XP. Just to be sure ... you are using the PC ports of the micro modular ?

Are you using a PC or a Mac ?

I'm going to move this topic to the NM Classic section.

thanks

I'm using: UM-1ex, Nord Micro Modular, Windows XP, PC, PC ports...2 little switches(USB and MIDI) on the UM-1ex switched ON.
Windows recognize the UM-1ex as a new connected sound device, but the Nord Modular Editor (the version I recently downloaded from the Clavia site) rejects it Sad The MIDI OUT led on the UM-1ex starts to blink, the NME MIDI Setup reports 'Status:Still looking...' and nothing happens. I tried changing the in/out jacks just to be shure but nothing...

ok
everything works fine Smile
i was too stupid to understand the UM-1ex manual and markigs correctly. the 2nd switch doesn't mean 'on/thru/off'. it means 'thru:on/off'.
so, i just set it to 'off' I smell a rat
