I love melodic, multi-layered, poly-rhythmic, hand-played, counterpoint synthesizer music.

There's plenty of unmelodic electronic ambient and plenty of dance-beat electronica but music of the sort described above is hard to find.

Many of the sounds Tomita used, Kraftwerk's early rhythms and some of the sonic layering in Synergy's first two albums appeal to me particularly.

Last year I made a widely varied collection of music along these lines. You can hear those tunes at aejotz.com (unless you listen to more than one of them you'll only hear one facet).

It's is my hope that someone can direct me to some similar music by other musicians. Thank you.

DITTO!!!!!
i wanna hear more music like yours TOO!!

Haven't heard much like yours without having "unmelodic" or prominent discordant elements though.
(bear in mind, my idea of whats similar may differ to your own perspective)

Closest i've heard comes from the lo-bit community, but its not the same.

But hey....been diggin what you do, and now im aware of your website.

Thanks for the kind words.

Stereolab sometimes constructs tunes similarly, but they also use guitars and drums.

I just ordered a couple of CDs called "Electronic Toys" 1 and 2 that contain late 60s - early 70s "playful" synth work. I've only heard a few cuts from them so far but am assured that the albums are full of fun music.
