Let's see your work area! Subject description: unleashing the messy secrets.. |

so, exactly as the title suggest... show us your work area! who cares if its messy, always interesting to see peoples different lairs.
heres mine:
i love these little tackle box type things.. i have lots of them holding all my resistors, caps, ic's. great stuff, and portable!
my work area is a lot smaller than it used to be. i used to have a room nearly the size of my whole apartment now. |

Well... you see, it's like this... I live in a really small space... yeah I should tidy up a bit. Sort out some storage etc. Sadly, it never gets done. Too many circuits to breadboard. I work wherever, often on the floor. Here's some photos. Some old, some new. Crap everywhere!

Ha! Well, I just cleaned mine up yesterday, so I'll wait till it gets messier before posting photos!
Psyingo: I'm a little jealous of those drawer things... I'm still trying to find some at a decent price. And still trying to find the ideal little tackle boxes.
-minus- : Don't you know that bananas and soldering irons don't mix! That's dangerous!

That's the beauty of not being married... you can store power tools in the bathroom. What's amazing about all this is that we click on these photos! We just love looking at this sort of thing. They would make great jigsaw puzzles. Anyone else spot a hand grenade in one of the photos above? |

I like the little tackle boxes too. I think I got mine at wal mart in the arts and crafts section. The ones made for fishing were more expensive and no better quality. |

I was told that it has been defused, I keep it right near my head so that if by chance it is not and goes off, I will never know either way...
Nice spaces everyone. |

mancaves!
I wish I had something to show but since Im still a student I live, eat, work, rest, produce and build in a 12m2 room! I generally just use tackle boxes and try to stay organised so my desk is a dinner table, computer desk, workshop or drawing table at any given time. _________________ There he goes. I'm not a student (well, I learn everyday ) but it's the same here.
I probably have slightly more room (I have an extra bedroom), but it's packed with boxes and stuff aswell.
wood-/panelwork is mostly done on a space less then 1m2 on the floor.(spray)painting is done in the hallway
and even with a paintmask those fumes get to my head. My workdesk is a table with a surface
area of ±0.5m2 and is about 50 cm high. I only have a couch to sit on resulting in a nice backbreaking
position when soldering. (So I usually just squat down between the tabel and the couch).
I might take some pictures some time,. not sure yet. (I think I have something I could post, will look it up
later) _________________ "My perf, it's full of holes!"

I guess our common love for perf is not so much a choice as a neccesity.
And yeah, housing here in the Netherlands is terrible. A little googling gave me this:
"The Netherlands is slightly less than twice the size of the state of New Jersey". And we have 16 million people and nearly 20 million pigs living here! _________________ There he goes. ok,. in that case, here goes :
first pic is an older one when I still had the big CRT monitor,. I moved some stuff around a little bit since, but it has a nice
view of my workarea, which is cleaner then usual in that pic. 2nd one is taken fairly recent, and the 3rd one shows
some organized parts
blue case top left has LED's
the red one below that has a variety of things incl some connectors.
the red ones in the center are resistors [E24] (incl some trim- pots, but I order so many lately that I have them in other boxes).
blue case top right has non-polarized caps [1pf-1uF]
and the red one below that has some semiconductors,
and polarized caps.
More parts in the white boxes below them

Haven't been as active lunetta -wise over the past few months cuz I'm fairly single-minded. Been working on my tube amps and getting back to painting.
But I do fiddle around with my lunetta a couple times a week, testing out patches, freakin' out the neighbor's cat .
This is my mancave as of this afternoon.
