It looks great and I would love to hear it.
Does it switch silently, or some popping?

Alas, it pops, and makes other noises. I stupidly made the interrupter part just using a square wave oscillator and a 4066. I think I might replace the noisy and annoying LM386's with something else that might be a bit better... TDA7502A? But also the fact of switching speakers of all different sizes and characteristics (they are all 8 ohms, tho)... this is no hi-fi device!

Hahaha... not all that great, unfortunately. Sad

First of all, thanks to all the people who provide great projects. These modules were made with boards, layouts, front panels and/or schematics from nordcore, pulsar, René Schmitz, Roland employees, Ken Stone (CGS), Tony Allgood (Oakley), bugbrand, Thomas Henry, Laurie Biddulph, Motohiko Takeda, ickystay, and Jürgen Haible.

Upper row: MIDI-CV (nordcore, laser-cut panel by pulsar); 4069 VCO with sub-oscillator section (the latter is not working yet); CGS bandpass filter; Oakley dual little lag; Oakley VCA.
Lower row: XR-VCO; Oakley VCLFO; passive multiple; Steiner VCF (Elby panel, one of the outputs does not work); WASP VCF (has problems); noise/sample&hold (from SH-09 schematic and René Schmitz YASH), Oakley overdrive.

The 4069 VCO panel was made by a DIY CNC machine not yet working properly, there is a problem with the regulation of the depth of the engravings. So I decided to finish some panels using a hammer and am quite content with the results. Not in the picture is a VCO calibrator (schematic by the Electronic Peasant) which helped a lot.
Anyway, finally my homemade gear can make sounds which approximately sound like music.

Happy New Year everyone!

We'll need a new 2013 Build Pictures thread now... I might actually get to post something on it this year (New Year's resolution, actually build all the things lying around on breadboards and finish putting things into proper cases etc etc.).

Happy New Year,

Gary

Bumping this old thread because it contains several Milton related posts and comes up top when searching for "Milton", and I'd like to advertise this update:

Do you know what Peter is up to? Last I heard he was being crucified on Muff's. He hasn't responded to me since I offered to buy Plan B from him...

EDIT: Milton board sets used to be available at Big City Music, but I think he lost the pic chips for the async boards. I was going to rewrite the firmware, but then the big mess happened...

Regards,
Doug
