24db lowpass filter Subject description: resonance thins out low end |
|
|
hello there all,
i recently finished up some of my MFOS modules and been running thru tests. i've been working mainly on the 24dB LP VCF
i built in all the suggested modifications. it sounds great but i did notice one thing. with cutoff all the way open, as i increase the resonance the low end of signal seems to thin out.
anyone notice this and perhaps have any insight on what is going on? i searched the forum but found no similar issues
thanks for any info you may have |

i seem to have found the answer, tune the VCF cv section
don't you just love when you throw a question out there and just the process of asking takes your troubleshooting ideas in a whole new direction |

hello all
it's been a while since i posted this, but as i thought i had worked this problem out but i guess i didn't
made all the suggested "tune up" changes ray mentions and i get a nice four octaves out of the res oscillation.
it seems as the res increases the level of the output decreases. i thought it was a drop in low freq but upon lookin at it in the scope it seems to be an over all level decrease
any ideas?
thanks |
