I built the LFO2 and it works great except the sync input seems to have no effect at all. I am using the recommended tranny (BS170), and I have it oriented as shown in the component overlay on the project page. I have the capacitor soldered on the jack as well. where to start troubleshooting?

I am using a gate from my midibox seq. This gate works fine for my yusynth adsr's and my yusynth sample and hold clock, so I don't think the gate is the problem... but I'm open to any suggestions!

That's an issue that's been addressed before. See http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-32340.html&highlight=lfo&start=25, notably the post by Thalassa. It's a problem that I have myself and AFAIK it's never been covered in full.
So I think that we need a definitive word of wisdom by Yves, if he will be kind enough to attend.

What is the level of your trigger signal?

I am using a 5v trigger, I have also used a 5v gate, neither produces any result. Should I try a different tranny or something? Should I try a different value for the off-board capacitor?

UPDATE!

I got it working, with 5v triggers actually, It started working after I installed a new power supply i built based on LM337/317 (my old one was base on 7915/7815)

This new power supply also fixed my problem of latch-up with the VCO's

I am so very happy with my YUSYNTH system and it's almost done!

Thanks so much!

Probably you were drawing more power that could provide the 78xx/79xx...

Hi I built a lfo2 and the sync seems to work, just one question: the sync is suppose to work as reset? I'm not sure if the current behavior is correct.
Regards
