I had a GREAT time doing sound for the Soundscapes vidnaObmana concert! Among all the things that happened at the show, I had several people ask me about the oil projector lights that I supplied. I first saw these lights in use by Orbital Decay at the previous Soundscapes concert and because of how vibrant the projection was, I had to get some. They are called Liquid Lights and are available online from www.coolstuffcheap.com for about $35usd. They come with a three color oil wheel and you can buy another pack of two wheels - one is kind of an amber color the other is blue and red. A neat thing about these lights are that they are only 20 watts! Suprisingly the two projectors seemed to provide plenty of light for the back wall at the Ice House. And - they have a recommended run time of no more then 6 hours..... Another neat feature and one my wife and I have been experimenting with is that they have a slide holder that fits into the oil projecter after the oil wheel. We tried inserting some slides of planets and of nebula - it looks pretty cool with the oil moving behind the slide. You can also make your own "gobo's" (go-betweens) to use inplace of the slides. Hard to beat for the money!

Thanks for that information, Dave. I'd say they are amazing at that price!
