I'm not sure what it is but I seem to be having a lot MIDI dropouts with the programmer. I've done a bit of searching and although not an uncommon problem someone has mentioned that the NM G1 can be fussy with what MIDI interface you use.

I've tried it with my Novation Nio and a cheap £5 MIDI USB interface from ebay with Win7. I've also tried this on my old Itronix laptop running XP which is a little more stable but does the same thing from time to time.

Back in the day with my first Nord Modular I used an ESI ROMII with little problems but they are hard to find these days.

Can anyone recommend a good USB MIDI interface that's stable with the NM or failing that could it be a software conflict perhaps?

Thanks in advance Smile

Update- M-Audio UNO seems to work fine on Win8 with the Win7 64bit drivers on the M-audio site.

Didn't need to run the programmer in win98 mode or anything and everything is fine so far.

Will report back with how the touch screen works very soon. Smile
