I have a G2 engine and an alesisQX49 midi controller. I want to find a way to disable a slot on the G2 with a midi message . Can anyone shed some light on this ? Thanks Sean

Easiest thing I can think of is to set the volume to zero using CC7 on that slot. As far as I know it is not possible to actually disable the slot from MIDI.

An alternative would be to have two performances, one where the slot is eanbled and one where it is disabled, and then select the performance you need with MIDI.

I recall that volume is saved with a variation. If so, use a cc receive connected to a couple of amps to ensure the volume remains off in all variations.
