Yeah I bought mine new as well. Price was not unexpected...I put a $1249 buy it now on there actually... they've been rising in value it seems, in the last year. Have people finally figured out the power in it? Slightly funny about the price is that I've had a hard time in the past few years trying to give it away practically... Finally caved and put it on eBay and it goes for much more than I've been asking for. Good news for G2 owners I guess. The G2 Engine format was never quite for me, I don't know what Clavia was thinking with that complete lack of control interface, even on a rack module I would have been much happier with at least patch/slot selection and volume, if nothing else.

In all irony, I purchased a Nord Modular Classic keyboard to replace it.
