With my own 259 clone I have tried to do away with the distinction between CV and Audio, hoping eventually to integrate it cleanly into my Frac-Rac stuff that lives back in the USA. To that end, I put everything on 1/8" jacks.

However, as I was patching around on it, I took the DC output, which is pretty high voltage, from the mod osc and plugged it into the principle osc sync input and burned the diode.

This makes me wonder if:
1) The voltage coming out of that osc is too hot for other stuff, and I should reduce it or....
2) The variable Sync input on the Principle osc is fragile and I should always be careful with it.

If number 1 is true, then do people have trouble with inputs getting damaged from Buchlidian Function Generators?

The variable sync does sound very nice though. Here I sweep it from 0 to 10 then back to 0.
