Hi everyone,
I'm putting together a website dedicated to softsynths for linux: http://amsynth.com

There's still lots to do, but I'd love comments and questions!

Anyone have a favorite synth for linux? Zynaddsubfx? WhySynth? Hexter?

Here's a little demo of amSynth, one instance, using a bit of chorus and delay. Kind of "retro." Enjoy! Smile

Hi everyone,

Banks 13 and 14 for linux-based amSynth are now freely available for download:

http://www.amsynth.com/amsynth.html

Some audio demos are also available; just click on the "single instance demos" link on the same page.

Enjoy! Smile

Thanks.. Since amsynth doesn't have its own effects (except a plate reverb that I don't like so much) I run it through a Chorus and Delay provided in a plugin package called "Calf," which is also for linux. There are also other effects in the package, like Flanger, Distortion, Phaser, EQ (several types), Echo, etc..

Glad you liked it. Smile
