I've been using 1.40.13 for years with no problems, live and in the studio.

No sign of it on the net. It was a beta release. Alesis never blessed it because when Numark took over they ordered all development work to cease on the A6.

I'll have to check my computer for 1.40.13 at home.

From the release notes in the provided download:

Quote:
Changes in V1.40.13:
-------------------
1. FIXED SYSEX GLOBAL DATA UPLOAD TO A6 DOESN’T WORK
Uploading of Global Sysex data should work properly now.

2. ADDED UPLOAD MESSAGES TO SYSEX UPLOADS OF GLOBAL DATA, PROG, AND MIX EDIT BUFFERS

I have 1.40.12, I might actually do this update because I've had some issues sending sysex data to the A6 in certain situations. They might have done something else to the MIDI implementation that wasn't mentioned in these notes.

just a note for everyone, I updated my os to .13 and experienced some freezing bugs where the LCD would have black lines thru it....and I have since reverted to .12, and will let people know the results

p.s. for people wondering, midi quest 10xl or any program that has a "transmit syx" option will work for changing the os thru your audio interface. holding soft button 7 while booting will bring you to the reflashing menu
