Check it out! This excites me. Another user in this forum (can't remember who) made his own 2600 clone and it was awesome.

Not much information is available. You can visit the homepage of the project from the Synthtopia link and sign up to receive updates on the project.

I fully support an open DIY Arp 2600 wow! cheers

I believe that was THeff who made the clone here...

There's a whole lot of discussion over at Muff's too, with more demos:

I'm the one making the TTSH. Sadly there's not so much action over here in the DIY section anymore, so I didn't start a thread here.

But if there's anything you'd like to know, ask away!

I'm also working on a 19" rack 2600 clone, rotary pots though, not sliders Sad

Master section with Overall tuning, 2 x FM inputs, Portamento, 3 x buffered CV outs, 5v gate in > 10v Gate & Trigger out
Full wave shapers and sync on all 3 4027-1 VCOs
Added LFO (Square/Sine) in S&H section
Extra AR Env
Dual mode mixer (2x4 or 1x8 inputs)

Still waiting for various PCB's from Futurlec... so slow!!!

It's only for personal use, as I'm hoping to get zthee's version as soon as it's available.

Boards arrived in the post today Smile

I decided to use discrete transistors in the VCOs, because a year ago I spent almost a week matching pairs up (not that ARP ever did!!!) and they work perfectly well.

Added sync in/out from the Odyssey VCO.

Nice! So you didn't use a CA3086 then? Or was the matched transistors for some other part of the circuit?

Andy are you planning on releasing your 2600 clone here?

I really hope so because you have implemented everything i was planing my self. using cheap matched tranny's, waveshaper on vco board ect. This would save me a load of work in eagle and on the bread board.

I would love to get hold of schematics and PCB layouts.

@zthee - There's really only one matched pair (3906/3904 for the exp converter). I think the 3086 was only used to save space. I'm getting great results from this layout. BTW... Just found your PM regarding the 2600 ADSR, I'll reply once i'm fully awake, and had a cup of tea Smile

@mrmrshoes - I'm not sure about releasing it at the moment... there's a reason why I've not shown the reverse side of the board (quite a few flying leads to the pots... it's messy Rolling Eyes ) I think I should have taken more time to do a double sided PCB.

Meanwhile, I've got to turn this heap into something useable...
