Latch |
|
|
Is there a way to set up a latch for a program? So I press a key and dont have to use footswitch for sustain?
This would be very helpful for patches that I want to evolve, esp with cv input. |

1 no
2 put a thin piece of paper horizontal between three keys ( with the middle one pressed ) ( that's how i do it )
3 buy a sustain switch instead of pedal
4 set releases to maximum ( is endless)
5 use appergiator/sequencer of the a6, some patches are doing it this way, they can be found in de mixpresets |

lmao about the paper workaround. Works gr8. thx Sunny
btw, I dont like the release all the way because it seems to be quirky. When I switch patches the old program keeps on going. I need to toggle several presets in order for it to turn off.
Maybe its supposed to do that. I could see how that would be very useful in a live setting. Let the voices play while you prep the patch for the next song. |

turn it back to zero before switching patches, or push all voices down . |

Awesome Sunny! Direct and simple.
I've previously used all the other suggestions but I like the paper one best.

Synthacon's official latch... |
|
|
On this topic... so a few days back I was at my uncle Nyle's house and he was servicing a Synthacon. I'd never seen one in person so we were trying some sounds on it and also interfacing my Eowave Ribbon controller through CV. Didn't have Gate out so I was looking around for different weighted items to set on the keys to open the gate.
And then he just handed me a lead fishing sinker (which was just the right weight) he had on hand all along for latching purposes... smart guy lol |

There is a button/switch in the Arp page for latch.... use the soft button under it to turn on/off
It's done per program
Don't tell me you missed that...? |

Looks like number 5 is the sequencer. I haven't tried this one but I probably will sometime. |
