Hi all,

Someone can explain me what the diference between a jfet op amp and a jfet transistor?
And, why cant use a dual jfet op amp (like tl072) to replace a dual transistor?

Where is my confusion?

This is the inside of an op amp (not a typical one, but one nonetheless Smile ):

Much more complex than a single transistor.

I believe what makes it a JFET Op Amp is the type of transistors used on the inputs. For example 1/4 of an LF444 looks like this:

You can see the JFETs there on the + and - inputs....
