Hi my name is Fernando, I live in Tenerife, Canary Islands and I have a problem with the 909 clap, it doesn't sound nothing, all other instruments sounds perfect, but not the hand clap.

I have replacements of ba6110 (I know the pin is different than BA662, but i have the mod conversion of Obsolete Technology), one an6912 and (3X) M5218, and transistors 603 of this part of the schematic, but I want to confirm that the fault there is not in one resistor or capacitor or other part.

I had studying the schematics how to works the hand clap circuit and i tell the results

I trace the noise with a little speaker negative in ground of the circuit and positive in the desire point, I begin in R208 where starts the noise on the filter until pin 7 of ic 26 where i receive a good noise. I trace again the noise in the 2 paths of the circuit.

C55 path

I trace the signal from c55 to r204, in positive of c55 the signal is higher than union of r204 and negative of c55.
In the union of r204 and r205 the noise in more low than before.
and where union of r205, r203 and q37 i can't hear nothing.

C56 path

I have noise in the union of C55, C56, C43, pin 7 Ic 26
I haven't nothing in the union of C56 and R202

All voltages are Ok.

Thanks in advance.

After of emailing with Obsolete Technology frontmen, i advance a little on the problem but without results.

There are the tests

1.- I inject the noise from pin 7 on IC26 b after BA662 and the noise sounds in the output of HandClap jack to check that the sound after of BA662 isn't broke.

2.- I programmed a sequence with the Bass Drum, after I wire a cable from R54 (Env1 of BD) to junction of R233, R234, C61 and D53 of Hand Clap, and i have you can listen on https://www.dropbox.com/s/7823gr6mniadlma/audio%201.mp3
audio 1

3.- I connect the same cable now to pin 1 on BA662 and i get you can listen on https://www.dropbox.com/s/ul8f1gjqannmg48/audio%202.mp3
audio 2

The part of the reverb it seems to work, the BA662 always have noise but you can hear between the noise the main sound of the clap, but not very good,

Do i have to change BA662 for BA6110?
Why the clap trigger doesnt trig the part of the reverb perhaps Q35 or Q36?

I am thinking on change all transistors.

Thanks in advance.

problem solved, the guilty was IC26, one of their opamps was bad, a friend mine say to me, that i had to check the outs of the opamps and had to be 0V, in IC26 a, i had 13 V in the out, i replace the M5218 and now i have again the clap.
