Hi guys.

i want to build a portamento for one vco but there are 2 types of portamento.
the first type is auto, if i press c1 and release the key and then press c2 it will auto glide.
the second type is... if i press c1 keep on pressing and press c2 only then it will glide.

like in the sh101..

Posted Image, might have been reduced in size. Click Image to view fullscreen.

i need the second type, i just dont know how to look it up or how you call it in english Embarassed

any scheme of the second type will be much appreciated.

i thank you in advance,
Isak E.

The YuSynth slew limiter is simple enough and should do what you are looking for http://yusynth.net/Modular/EN/DUALSLEW/index.html

Thank you.

So from what I read it's working only when it gets the gate?

Yes but you want a way of generating a gate only for legato or overlapping notes. What are you using for a keyboard?

you right but if i want to do that i'll just not connect to the gate input.
i'm using midi keyboads with midi to cv.

This midi to CV looks like it has exactly what you want.

Do you think it will be good?

Actually I think the chain is midi to cv to yusynth module and from there to the vco.
So what's the deference between the Kenton mid to cv, isnt its the same going on inside the Kenton?

Sorry I missed your last post. The Kenton software is written to detect overlapping notes and enable glide only for those.

In the olden days, overlapped notes could be detected using the keyboard resister ladder at both ends (like for duo phonic circuits from Odysey and Cat)

You might be able mod the code on your device to produce a glide control gate when you get a second "note on" before the "note off" of the previous key arrives.

Without this extra gate signal, you are only going to get full time glide or no glide.

Thanks for the input.
I'm way far to modified the code.

I'll give yusynth a try, already etched and built it but didnt tried it yet.
