Is the MFOS dual wal-wart supply good enough to power TH modules??
I noticed Ray's design only uses 2 diodes to rectify the incomming AC signal, is this enough?

Two possible answers.

1) Thomas' circuits don't require special power supplies Smile Anything that provides +/- 15V will do fine.

2) Ray's supply as shown is for +/- 12V. You can get Thomas' circuits to work at 12V but it will require adjusting various resistors on control voltage input sections, and I don't know of a good resource to just tell you what the changes ought to be.

Another alternative would be to build the WWPS but use 7815 and 7915 and get +/- 15V. For that to work you need a 16VAC Wall Wart though. And yes it does work, I have one that I'm using for a different project...I suppose "work" means it generates the voltages expected, because I haven't yet built enough of the project to put any load on the supply Smile.

Ray's use of two diodes instead of a full bridge is a way to get around not having a center tap, I believe.

AHA! I was suspicious of this.
Thanks for the reply.
