prgdeltablues - That is awesome. Can you provide any more details on how it works? Also, what is the part number for the LED matrix that you used?

Here is a dsPIC dev board that I put together.

I forgot to post this stuff here -

Jurgen Haible Varislope Filter/Phaser front

I want to thank the bad producer for selling me the pcb, and providing advice and wiring help, and Dave Brown for additional modification ideas and some elements of the panel design. And of course Jurgen Haible for the brilliant design!

Still have to figure out why the output levels are amazingly low. I'd have thought if the mixer/output op amps were dead they'd not have any output.

But I've been able to play with it with sufficient amplification to get a sense of it, and wow....

Edit: PS yes I know it's a bandpass not a high pass, but by the time I realized it, I did not want to sand the sticker off and start over....

New update on mine!

Added some buffered multiples, a dual oscillator, and a digital noise source (that one's on the breadboard in the pic but is now panelled up and in the case)

Posted Image, might have been reduced in size. Click Image to view fullscreen.

Finally got my first few modules up and running! Very Happy From left to right I've got two Nicolas "Super Simple" V/hz VCOs, a Nicolas Filter, ADSR, and an MFOS wall wart power supply. Still to come is a mixer, another ADSR, a couple of LFOs, a VCA, some kind of baby-10-esque sequencer, and a few effects and things. Super excited to be on the road to my very own modular synthesizer! Very Happy

I guess I've been busy recently...

Finally completed the u2K6 (micro 2600). Everything running perfectly, and sounds pretty amazing Very Happy

I used stripboard for the internal patching system... works well with no crosstalk.

Also got round to building JH's Triple Chorus (with a few mods) and the Paia Midi 2 CV (which has been on my workbench for about 6 years!!!).

Now that I've sorted all the ARP 40 series module problems out, I've started a complete ARP 2600 clone... I've copied all the PCB's and adjusted them to suit Bourns 45mm LED sliders. The cabinet is built, it just needs Tolexing and hardware put on. I've had the panel Laser Cut and powder coated and I'm just waiting for news on the Print side of things.

I may start a build thread if anyone is interested.

I couldn't get 100K pots anymore for the price I normally get them, but as part of a simple mixer kit they are slightly cheaper then buying them
seperately. So I got 5 of those kits instead.

I didn't want to waste the PCB's and have been wanting to make some simple mixers for a while anyway, and since I had a nice sized enclosure
to fit all of them I decided to make a simple matrix mixer (I have plans for a more complex one).

I did not use the 100K pots of course but I ordered a bunch of 47K pots aswell (still for the old price Very Happy). I breadboarded the circuit to test it first,
which was a very simple transistor mixer. I noticed it distorted at too low signal levels for my liking, so replaced it with a simple Fet mixer (using the
original PCB without having to cut traces or drill new holes). This worked but the output was too low so I added some opamps at the output to
boost the signal. I could have used those to mix the signal aswell but I allready had everything mounted, wired and tied up.

Drilling didn't go as planned (but as expected); the panel cracked at the second hole Crying or Very sad (glad it wasn't the last). But I still had the backpanel so
I got a second change and allthough there are some very small cracks it came out pretty well. I cut a new backpanel fom MDF and glued a 'matrix
code' print on the backpanel, which is lit by a bright green LED Cool

Latest Build, a Teezer. The modular is busy with other stuff so I have only been able to play with it far enough to test and calibrate it... And yes, I'm currently out of large knobs....

something I put together saturday.
I came across a circuit for a limiter, with separately adjustable clipping control for pos/neg halves of the signal, in an old (feb '79)
issue of Elektor magazine. Seemed useful for my no-input matrix mixer experiments so I build it in a box with a matrix themed
frontpanel Cool I also added a peak indicator which lights up if the signal is too hot and the opamp itself starts to clip.

(I'm thinking of making a digital delay next, called "Déjà Vu" Wink)

hmm just noticed the input jack is a bit off Embarassed
