Well as some of you know already I've finished been able to find some work.

It's a help desk job here in Canberra and I'm way way over qualified. Plus there aren't a large number of calls at the moment so we're free to browse the net a lot.

Although it's great to have the freedom, I'm actually finding it a bit boring Sad

So I'm trying out the Cloud9 browser based IDE. Brushing up on my Python. Anyone need some scripts written? Very Happy

I'm in the middle of writing a Python program to mine my students work habits / time management data (which they voluntarily and supply and which I make anonymous) for a study, using various data mining tools after Python finishes organizing the data. Sadly, I can't farm any of it out. Sad

Congrats on the job, though! Brushing up on Python sounds like a good way to spend some time. I like working in Python. Very Happy

Unfortunately SSH is blocked and so is faceboob. Twitter is ok though Smile

I'm starting to get into Python this time around. Last time I tried it, it didn't quite click. I really want to get more into object oriented programming and I think Python is going to be a good starting point. Really want to head to C++ eventually.

This Cloud9 web IDE is making it nice and easy to jump between work and home. Thinking about going with the paid version as they give you a full VM to play with. So I can install whatever I need.
