You could add the lines with spraypaint or a marker, but the text hmm,.
printing out a complete front (so not just text) and glue that on would
probably be the easiest way. You coul do it by hand for a nice DIY touch
but I advice you to take the bolts out if you do that,. makes it a lot easier
to write on. (you would also have to take everything of if you glue a front
to it of course). nice case _________________ "My perf, it's full of holes!"

Looks good! And Yellow. I hand-letter my boxes, which came about because it was the easiest option. I would have preferred something neater, but then it kinda became my style, so I try to take my time and not screw up too much.
I usually use Sharpies or opaque markers, but the latter are hard to find in good colors that work. Like PHOBoS said, it is indeed easier without the hardware on, but remember to take into consideration the washers and especially the knobs, i.e. don't write too close to the holes (I learned the hard way)!

I just bought one of those small label maker things, which can print black on 1/2" transparent tape - that seems to work great for doing things quick (although i like painting the best) _________________ http://soundcloud.com/douglasmseidel |

Which one dougseidel? We had a great Brother thermal label printer azt my old workplace. If I remember t was pretty expensive. It came with both white and clear labels. |

i got this one for i think $30 at Staples:
Brother P-touch PT-D200 Label Maker
and a long roll of clear tape was i think $15.
And there were less expensive ones too.
Also, if you let kids see it they will start putting labels on everything in the house. _________________ http://soundcloud.com/douglasmseidel |

UPDATE....
Recently added a duel 40106 oscillator, and today a 4046 module. Did my own version of the tried and tested version. Hopefully give you all a sound clip and schematic soon! Very happy! |

Labeling solution:
Metal letter stamps like this + aluminium from a drink can.
Stamp the allie on scrap wood, solid backing is best for stamping on thin metal like that. _________________ As a mad scientist I am ruled by the dictum of science: "I could be wrong about this but lets find out"
