It's not that offtopic I think since the same encoders+led rings were used on the Nord Modular G2. I once talked to the people at Clavia while they were making the G2 and they said that the led rings were a major pain to have on the synths - they were expensive and tricky. On later synths the led rings have been dumped. So my gut feeling is that replacing a Nord Lead 3 encoder (as well as NMG2) can be difficult. Sorry for being pessimistic - maybe someone else knows more?

/Stefan

Thank you for replying.

Oohhh man, this is shity news.
So the people out there that bought nord lead 3 and G2 are stuck with no possibility to replace thous crapy encoders?
Is there any other option?
Say...other encoder that can give me the same results?
I don't mind the LEDs.
