Hey guys!

Usually when I see Linux music communities, many people are either using Pure Data and CSound or all-in-one DAWs from Windows under WINE, sometime renoise.

But very few people actually use the modular setup, wherein you use JACK to connect various apps and do music like that.

Anyone here into that kind of workflow?

Can you share any of your music done with that kind of setup?

My workflow, studio and live both, is the kind of 'modular' setup you're describing, using JACK and Patchage to link it all up. I use Ardour as my DAW. Live setups typically involve some combinatation of 'real' instruments (guitars, hardware synths, contact mics, etc), Rakarrack, Sooperlooper, and one or more of Yoshimi, Fluidsynth, AMSynth & ALSA Modular.

Cheers,
Adam / onewayness
