Hi, everyone

We're Snake and DJSE, AKA Cats Cradle Robbers, AKA Nick Dallett and Ed Essey. We're an experimental electronica duo from Seattle.

We've been assembling music - we refer to our creations as "constructions" - since 2007. Everything is built in Ableton. We spend a lot of time on details, and we like to create new stuff, so we haven't made the leap to performing live. If we did, we imagine that we'd be creating new music from scratch in front of the audience - looping, I suppose - rather than performing stuff we've already created.

We really haven't plugged into the community much at all. DJSE is the electronic wiz in the house - he wields Ableton. I'm an acoustic musician with more than 30 years of experience - amateur, pro, and semi-pro. I get off on playing found instruments, common household objects, and sometimes creating my own instruments, such as the 2xtar (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ea1SZ7uyowc). Ed also works as a DJ in the Seattle salsa community.

So, last year, we published an album online, and we're just getting around to promoting it. Yeah, yeah, I know, but we're both busy, and we do music for love rather than money. I'm pretty damn proud of the material - we like to think that we make people stop and think. It's not dance music. It's eclectic. It's downright weird at times and at other times it delves into traditional forms - largely centered around afro-latin themes.

We're looking for any information on places we can submit our album for reviews, radio play, and so forth. We'd also love to hear feedback from the community and maybe even connect with like-minded folks.

Best way to describe what our stuff is like is to point you to it. You can listen for free on Spotify - just look for us (Cats Cradle Robbers), or the album (Abewsing The Mews). And of course, we're available on all the major digital distributors - Amazon Music, ITunes, etc. We have a few videos on YouTube, a page on Facebook, blah blah blah... Smile

So, hi and hello, and any feedback or tips would be very welcome.

-Snake, aka Nick
