Dirty LiL Sequenzer,
Prototype finished.

It is a 8 Step sequenzer (4017), instead of 8 Pots i use only 4.
Instead of Switches i use jumper.
With every Gate u choose, the CV Counter advances.

It is a simple design but, by changing the source of clock and reset and by using less or more than 4 gatesteps, it has some features.

The design is easy adaptable to different amounts of steps'n'pots.

Below the Schemo and some pics of the Prototype.
In the prototype i have added two momentary-switches for manual gate and reset, and dont have the RangePot.

-EDIT-
Jumpers must are Diodes, thx PHOBoS.
Better Schemo attatched.
-EDIT END-

cheers

nice! Very Happy I like the different options it has, like using the gate out to clock the (CV) sequencer, a simple way to create a swinging sequence.
I would add a buffer to the CV out though (opamp as voltage follower). And maybe an extra option to set it to a different amount of steps,
you can get nice variations if you would set the gate sequencer to 7 steps. Of course you can always keep adding things.

edit: something I just noticed, you're probably gonna use more then one jumper at a time (for the gate output). If so you should add
some diodes in series with the jumpers else you'll be shorting the outputs of IC3.

I have the core concept of this thing sitting on my work bench right now. I just needed a CV source to test things so I whipped up a little sequencer, it can go into audio range aswell so I can generate some stepped waveforms and observe things on a scope more easily.
So unfortunately not a new concept but a very useful one for a quick and easy CV source.

Thx PHOBoS,

i added a Workaround in the first Post,
the jumpers must are Diodes now.

I have drawed 2 new Versions.
One implement a step lenght option on step 5,6 and 7 and the manual Reset. The other has one more Option on the CV-Reset.

The step lenght option i have also in the prototype now.

cheers
