Hi Guys

just finished the dual AR from MFOS synth diy experiment board shceme.
its not verified yet and hope to do it soon.
i did mods for possibility to have fast or slow AR.
i replaced C24 and C26 (4.7uF) to 1uF and 10uF with a switch.
you can see it in the next pic.
i removed the 100k output pots, you can attenuate at the input of the other module you connecting it to.
i built this AR Gen on stripboard when C24 is 4.7uF you can watch the Tube Vid in the next link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ep36ZKTA8jc (move to 3:55)
i'm sorry that the vid is in Hebrew but i dont have any other way to show you how the AR Gen is operating.
if you making this please let me/us know its working ok.

NOTES:
1 - there are 2 jumpers, dont forget them.
2 - all diodes are 1N914 or 1N4148.
3 - it runs on 12V and i think there will be no problem to run it with 15V with no mods.

cheers,
Isak E.

Hi there Smile

I used this layout (I modded it a bit, the next pic is updated with the mods I did)
Although it shows 9V it works great with 12V

Posted Image, might have been reduced in size. Click Image to view fullscreen.

Hi there.
Well, it works for me.
I build more than few Smile .
If its not working for you, start checking the V in your circuit, make sure all the IC's gets the V they need.
Than make sure all the components are the correct ones and well oriented (caps, diodes efc).

Isak.

Hello isak thanks for your answer, all components are the correct ones and oriented correctly, about voltage don't know, I measure different voltages in the pins of the ICs, do you know what is the correct voltage? Thanks and best regards.

On IC1 pin 4 should be +12V
IC1 pin 11 sould be -12V

IC2 pin 14 should be +12V
IC2 pin 7 should be connected to ground.

also check if you have any shorts between the lines.
maybe flux after soldering is left over, clean the board from the solder side with alcohol.
can you please upload hi resolution pic of the solder side?

D6 is not correct, you solder it backwards.

beside that the board look ok, just needs cleaning.
one more thing please, i may think i did the pots connection backward.
meaning when the A and R is in counter clock wise its actually open.
after fixing D6 orientation please try to turn the A fully open, that will mean its actually close, leave the R as is.

please report back Smile

Oucht! Yeah isak My big mistake! Rolling Eyes
I put the diode correctly and works smoothly, not the faster envelope on heart but cool! Now I need to get the log pots.
Thanks Mate.

Thanks Mate.

Glad you got it sorted.
If you want a faster response you can lower 1uF value.

Enjoy the module Smile
