MIDI is 30.

Happy Birthday MIDI!!!

Any one remember the movie "Wild in the Streets?" I for one hope that MIDI doesn't suffer the same fate as those over 30.

MIDI has had a very long lifespan, and I think it will be around for a very long time, even though OSC is much more powerful, although much more complex and therefore not as accessible.
