Damn! Someone went and mentioned an OctaTrack!
I've money burning a hole, abstinence from my gear and I'm trying to work on some personal issues - an OT sure seems sweet right now! _________________ Crumar Bit 01, Roland SH32, 12u/104hp modular (90% DIY).

Sorry, mate!
It works for me because I can generate quite a bit of noise (most of which is pleasing noise) all by myself, and it all seems so fresh and inspiring to me. Here's a recent improvised jam with it. While my inner critic says is mostly nonsense, the last 3-5 min. of this jam left me very pleased and excited to play some more with it next time - that's the feeling I love, and it seems to be independent of what specific gear one has:

It's left my various hardware synths feeling lonely and unloved, but I'll work them in eventually.... slowly though.... _________________ Current and recent work on Soundcloud

lol, it's cool man - I've just been trying to control myself as there's so many things I could blow this money on but I'm trying to make it through a period of time where I'm thinking of only buying items to a % value of the money I have.
Feeling so stumped at the moment, I fear I'll impulse something (however cool) and then the honeymoon phase will end and I'll be miffed at a perfectly good piece of kit.
Just, no matter what I read, I can't seem to find anything too bad about the OT... The Elektron learning curve, I'm already in love with the Elektron way. My only concern is that I feel I can do a lot of what OT does in Ableton Live/Maschine (this is what I tell myself at present...)
It's OK to hijack my own thread isn't it? _________________ Crumar Bit 01, Roland SH32, 12u/104hp modular (90% DIY).

You might have a lot of fun trying, and maybe discover some inspiration, excitement again - that feeling that I just mentioned in my previous post (which I was updating while you submitted a new post ). That feeling is the main thing... _________________ Current and recent work on Soundcloud

Credit card read this, ran away and is now cowering underneath the sofa as it can sense the abuse coming _________________ Crumar Bit 01, Roland SH32, 12u/104hp modular (90% DIY).
