Definately good with both. 5 Slots and no need to worry about pauses while the DSP loads;)

Really like your Max For Live front-end btw. I think I'm going to have to do something similar.

Thanks! your Gator case is awesome too. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to use my G1 live, the OS a bit clumsy given that there is no "multi" mode. Loading the patches one by one is dreary. This is an even worse problem than the gap. How do you cope with this?

Case is cool but not real portable Wink

I generally use up all the G1 slots for a particular "track" and then just switch them all over at once using the front panel while the Micro covers for it. Find that quicker than trying to load them in from the editor. I also tend to group the presets I want to use together in a bank so they are easy to access.

It's pretty cumbersome but I've never had a synth that was smooth for accessing presets Laughing

Yes, I use the G1 with an Electribe EMX, sometimes sequencing it from the EMX, and sometimes just noodles. The thing is I usually improvise fast rhythmical music, experimental but also techno and house in clubs. Im so used to the EMX's immediacy that the G1's OS feels slow and clumsy. I haven't been able to use it in club situations yet. Just tried once and quit using it after a few minutes and stuck on the EMX for the rest of the set. I guess it's not that the G1 is bad, it is the EMX that is so overwhelmingly direct and hands-on for improv.
