Hi,

i need a noise generator Stripboard layout. does someone has one ?
I have a lot of synths without a noise source, like little phaaty minitaur etc. this synths have a external in. for live gigs i don't wan't to use modules , so i wan't to build a box with 1 or 2 dif. noise white and or pink noise. just to put it in to the external in. the best is to use it with a 9v battery etc...

does any one have an idear or can help me.

that will be great.

this is a simple circuit that you should be able to transfer to stirpboard without any problems:

should work with 9v without any major modification.

you might find some problems as most noise gens work at higher voltages. I needed one for a percussion circuit running at 5v and eventually had to program a PIC to do the noise for me. "bit" annoying....geddit? bit..... hahahaha

*fades into a darken corner to let the humour linger*

in the "9v" one you posted, the actual noise gen part of the circuit is running off +18v !!

Abolutely! I've gotten a similar circuit to work at slightly less than 9V. Selecting the noisiest transistor was hardly necessary. I tried two random '3904s and a 2222 for the reverse biased transistor and got equal noisiness.

citric, isn't it a little premature to ask for a layout before you've decided on a circuit?

thanks.

i just need a simple noise. So thats why i ask for a stripboard. The circuit doesn´t take sense for my needs. I use this just for live situations where i don´t have a noise source. i wan´t to feed my mono synths with noise. myby my minitaur etc have no noise source and i will feed them with external noise. and i think a lot of people have ready circuits and more skills than me. i tought it was ok to ask for it Smile if it was not ok, sorry for this.

many thanks for you help. verry friendly

No apology necessary. We all sometimes get ahead of ourselves when we want to build something.

Hi all! I have a problem with 50 hz hum which present in EVERY white noise generator that I've build. I've tried few schemes. Where is it came from? It's not a sound card (i've tried different cards and amps and cables). It's not a power supply (at the picture bellow scheme is powered with 9V battery).
