Let me introduce myself |

Hello everyone,
I was very happy to find out about this forum yesterday. I have the impression that there is a priceless diversity in people's approach to electronic music, ranging from experimental noise to easy-listening beats. Anyway, that's what lured me in, so just wanted to note that down.
My name is Fatih, I currently live in Belgium, but I am actually from Turkey. I am 25 and still studying (doing a post-master's degree in Anthropology). Nevertheless, I am trying to keep music as something that's just more than a "hobby" in my life, which is why I have turned to personal productions at this point in my life. Whenever I try to bring other "part-time" musicians together and try to create something with character, originality and coherence, it is always the same dilemma. I have the feeling that it is just very difficult to be on the same page with people who, in this context, tend to see music simply as a "hobby."
So yea, now I do my thing mostly on DAW, trying to invest in some basic gear for a more intuitive creative flow; for something as performative as it is geeky. Let's see how that goes.
Once again, hello to all of you,
Fatih
p.s. I shared some tracks on this thread, in need of feedback http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-59868.html |

Welcome to the forum! You have come to the right place it would seem - there are many here who are very passionate about music without having it as their source of income.
Be patient and eventually you will find people who are on your wavelength - in the mean time it is good to do your own thing to learn howmtomstand on your own legs. Speaking from my own experience it can be easy to think that you may need somebody else to "complete" what you are doing, whereas it can be good to learn how to it all yourself too. Anyway, it's all a yourney, different for every one of us. _________________ Muied Lumens Sub Forum
