Hello! Long time lurker, trying to get a little more experience in software and synth design at the same time-

I’m looking to create a synth interface in an app (requiring manipulable knobs/buttons), and I was looking for some advice on default toolkits and any common add-on frameworks that might be useful for 2d and 3d interactive elements. Should I just use Graphics2D / Swing if I'd eventually like to move to Android and tablet interface?

I know the signal processing will have lesser performance when I get to that stage, but I'd like to get a little more familiar with thread behavior and create a more simple project to start out with before I get to more complicated functions.

Are there any good resources/tutorials you might recommend to this end?

Thank you!
