Came up with this the other day after playing around with a leading edge detector. Basically, square wave is run through a high-pass/differentiator and then that is rectified and put through a buffer.

Definitely won't yield a 50% duty cycle square wave apart from at a narrow band of frequencies - and there will be a frequency above which it will stop working (as you approach the pass-band of the filter).

Without the buffer, they can also be a sort of square to saw converters, also octave up - though that's at a limited range of frequencies again

Replace the resistor in the high-pass filter to tune it.
